Mai Thai Coffee came into being in part because of the work we were doing with children. It became obvious the root cause children were abandoned or fell through the cracks of society was a result of poverty. We realized if we could help families to prosper, they would be able to properly care for their children and it would bring dignity to their lives. We launched an economic development project utilizing coffee cultivation. The program was successful and evolved into Mai Thai Coffee.
