- 2 shots hot espresso or 4 oz very strong brewed coffee
- 1½–2 Tbsp Maple Apple Syrup (recipe below)
- 1 heaping cup ice
- 4–6 oz cold milk or oat/almond milk
- Pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Add Maple Apple Syrup (recipe below) to a shaker/jar.
- Pour in hot espresso; swirl to dissolve.
- Add ice; shake 10–15 sec until frothy and cold.
- Pour into a tall glass; top with milk.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and enjoy.
Cold-foam option: Froth 3–4 oz milk with 1 tsp syrup and float on top.
Maple Apple Syrup
Dairy-Free Friendly! Yields ~1 cup ≈ 10–12 drinks
Ingredients
- 1 cup apple cider
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar, packed
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon (or 1 small stick)
- Pinch salt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Simmer cider, maple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt 4–6 min.
- Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
- Cool, strain, bottle.
